A long time ago.

I met a nice boy. I dated that boy. I made a thanksgiving dinner with that boy. We got married and had the sweetest family. Today we said so-long to our oldest son, who is starting college in Philadelphia. It’s such a blessing when kids are ready to strike out on their own. He’s ready.  Hopefully we are too. We stayed an extra day after move-in to be sure he had everything he needed. We’re new at this. We wandered around Philly, a great city to be sure, and enjoyed another cheesesteak. Can you ever have too much?  I think not.  Heading to the airport, we stopped by the campus and gave him a final hug outside his dorm, he was already on to his orientation activities for the evening.  A few happy tears were shed as our flight took off, reflecting on 18 years. Wishing our son many blessings as he begins this exciting  journey. ❤️ Man, that went FAST. 253/365img_7858
